Notes for using BVSSL Meet Manager Template
Download a template, either
6 lane
or
8 lane
- the 'standard' place for Meet Manager to look when opening a meet is C:\swmeets, so you might as well put it there.
Make a copy of the template - otherwise, if you run the meet after opening the template you will need to re-download (or make a copy and purge data). I suggest you rename the copy to something meaningful (Like BSTC vs Ranch 2002).
Start Meet Manager, File->OPEN/NEW, select the copied/renamed file. It will be loaded.
Set-up->Meet Set-up
Enter a name for the meet (like BSTC vs Ranch).
Set the Start and End.
Set Course (either SC Meters or Yards).
At this point, I believe you are ready to import Entries given to you by both coaches.
Once you have imported entries from both coaches, you may need to "seed" the entries. I'm still figuring out the ins and outs of seeding...
When running the meet:
The templates come with the maximum number of scorers for a team per event set to 3 (this is correct for all but events 21 through 30).
When you get to event 21, close the run screen, open the set-up screen and change the number of scorers per team per event to 5.
After you have scored event 30 don't forget to set the number of scorers per team per event back to 3!
If you find that I have left something important out, please let me know and I will update this document.
